Niagara Falls

We went to Niagara Falls after our time at Dutch Wonderland.  It's about 7 hours from our home--it seemed like forever to get there, but it was totally worth it.  We took a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist boat tour, which takes you into the basin of the horseshoe falls.  They give you these blue ponchos to wear before you get there and it's an open deck boat so it's kind of amusing to see everyone in their ponchos--but thank goodness for the ponchos because when you are in the basin of Niagara Falls you get wet!!  We also went over into Canada to see the falls from that side, which is prettier than seeing them from the American side.  We also had dinner over in Canada and then spent the night at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.

Dutch Wonderland

In Lancaster, PA there is a kids amusement park called Dutch Wonderland.  It is like a small Disney World created just for kids aged 18 months to around 6 or 7.  Michael was able to ride every single ride--some were actual roller coasters and the log ride.  Cal could ride all but 3 of the rides.  Even though there were plenty of people there, we never had to wait in line and again, we had perfect weather.  We all had a great time and if you are ever in the area, I definitely recommend it.  We had recently been to this area when we went to Strasburg last month, so I had Chris make a slight detour over to a bakery so I could get a Whoopie Pie, my new favorite dessert.

Strawberry Picking

Here are some pictures of us picking strawberries at Johnson's Farm in Medford.  This place is incredible--I can't do it justice and the weather was perfect--no humidity and about 80 degrees.  This farm has a "pick your own" everything--so we'll be going back for all sorts of fresh fruits and veggies this year.
